Yes!  Correct.  the Dugger's had their 19th.  Much to the chagrin of the vast left wing audience Ms. Dugger did not abort.  Matter of fact the Dugger's have really offended the left.  19 kids ; no social services.  Imagine that, raising 19 kids without being parasitic on society.  Impressive.  The 19th child , actually is very lucky.  Lucky for example that she was born yesterday and not after o'care has been implemented.  You see, the little girl only weighed 1# 6oz.  Under o'care babies under 500 gms will be ignored.  No intervention.  There are some hospitals already implementing this draconian move.  This will happen more frequently as more participants tax the failing system.    I'm afraid the very young and very old will be impacted the most by o'care.   Strange irony ; the "humanity" of the left.

Fail

500 grams = 1.1 pound

1 pound 6 ounces > 1.1 pound.

Nice winger try though.

And the child was born December 10, 2009

I've been to Tontitown, home of the Duggers. That's where people from Siloam Springs, Arkansas buy their booze. I used to jump out of airplanes at the Siloam Springs airport.

LOL.  Good job ; I still made my point Cat.  The more we learn about o'care ; the more I'm noticing the weaker folks in society really have to stay healthy.  OK, the Dugger kid would just barely make it  under o'care ; once again the question becomes moral.  Can the state choose who lives?  They already choose who lives and dies in the business world.  Cause for concern?

I though your point was to ridicule anything that represents social fairness with any and all tactics including inequities in one of the fairness systems.

Since the Duggers presumably had state assisted, former employee insurance from the State of Arkansas, I don't see your point. One way or another the Duggers had private insurance and the infant was never in peril.

Perhaps there is a 500 gram provision in O'Care. Perhaps there isn't. It's hard to say when other key facts are altered for the spin factor.

Where I was going with this, Cat, is we are seeing more and more with o'care that the government will be prioritizing their attention to certain specific individuals.  Others, not so much.

the government is requiring people to be responsible and buy health care from private insurers. Private insurers have ALWAYS made decisions like what you're talking about. Also, most people spend the most in health care during that last months of their lives, so maybe there's better ways to die than being in a hospital in a coma with a gazillion tubes sticking out of you for 3 months.

Not your call Trish.  Not barry's either.  What about the "shift" in medicare?  Taking financial attention away from the elderly?  Or is it OK to take a pass on them too?  I ah was vaporizing through the Dugger story but my point should be of concern.  Infanticide and euthanasia have , sorry to say, reared their ugly heads.

I don't see why conservatives like babies so much. They're like the ultimate parasites on society, which is something they're always bitching about.

Not your call Trish.  Not barry's either.

Nope it's the call of whoever has the money. That is often the health insurance company, as Trish pointed out, but it's also the the parents' call. If they've got the money they can decide to spend it on their baby. If they don't have the money they can sign away their future on the child.

The shift in the status quo under O'Care is negligible.

Strange irony ; the "humanity" of the left.

So it's actually the "humanity" of the insurance companies, lol

Same as it ever was

What about death panels, Trish?

trish6912

Jan 22, 2013

Yes, I'm sure insurance companies have those too. They say no to procedures all the time, don't they? Isn't that what Miss Alaska was talking about?

Jan 22, 2013

Inssurances do have those , very high amounts though.  What about Medicare ?  The most important insurance of them all.

I don't know. They seem to keep old people alive for years and years so they must not have the Palin death panels. But I don't know for sure.

My father, a staunch Republican, is happily sucking the Medicare teat. He loves it. Loves the doctors. Loves the paperwork process. Loves the cost. Loves the cancer that Medicare paid to remove, now that it has been removed. Yep a true believer in Medicare. He just doesn't want me to have the same coverage. Nope, that would be socialism. Can't have that damn socialism. He says it's OK for him to use Medicare because, he paid for it afterall. Well, he didn't pay for it, I did. The Medicare tax wasn't added until the 80's.

All of the socialism drummers are the same: "It's OK for you to pay my way, but fuck if I'm going to let you pay for anyone else even yourself. Get a job and do it yourself".

I assure you Cat, if there is anyone out there supporting Medicare and SS for you and I  ; American citizens, it's me.  Matter of fact I think we should start getting at about  54.  The only true entitlements ; we paid into them.
