This is the reason lots of guys just pass my profile by. They see
that "Christian" religion and run. Now, while I'm not a great
Christian, my beliefs follow the Christian doctrine... I am not
ashamed of what I believe, and don't feel that I should have to
hide it, but women like her make non-Christian men think that all
Christian girls are the same - pretentious and hypocritical. *Sad

The problem was that she was talking about being open-minded, but
she is quite contrary to being open-minded. Being religious is
fine, but using religion in an attempt to condemn a person because
you disagree with them is not.
|
|
|
I did open my eyes and saw the type of person she is. Her high
and mighty attitude mixed in with religious references was
grotesque.
And you're racist. We'll call it a draw. |
|
|
Aren't pretentious people awesome? Personally, there's nothing
wrong with being attracted to people of a certain race, it's a
physical feature, just like hair color, or height, etc.

Indeed. I might prefer brunettes, but I'm not going to refuse a blonde. To state you only want white women is racist. |
|
|
No more than saying that you only date blondes (which some people
do).
|
|
|
Everyone is entitled to have a preferance, he's not racist, he just
won't date anyone other than white women. He never said he would
not be friends with people who are not white.

I dont know what her problem is. Im only here for your white women
and fried chicken! :O)

Really? Please tell us more about racists. Everyone, listen up...SeveralTimes is going to tell us who we should be forced to date, and he is going to force the government to take action because websites like Match, Friendfinder, Yahoo Personals, eHarmony, and countless other dating websites allow users to filter out people by racial preference, which according to him is racial discrimination. Wait, OKCupid does the same thing with their advanced search, so he better include this website, also. I couldn't imagine anyone other than myself actually using search filters for race like that... if they did, according to SeveralTimes, they must be racist, also. But thanks to SeveralTimes, at least we all know now what true racism is. I can only imagine the countless numbers of people that have been denied dates over it, and that is the real crime. |

thinks I'm a robot!
|
|
|
I'm extremely sexist in that I will only date people who have a
vagina.
|
|
|
Why is that?
|
|
|
I guess I'm a sexist too. If that's your criteria.

This is very interesting. I absolutely believe that it's true that we all have preferences. I know I have mine (red headed ladies with nice round bottoms: please contact me for details LOL!). However, I think, what the person might have initially started out to say might be exactly the counsel I would give you: While I have a preference, if I meet a great lady and really hit it off with her but, look and realize that she isn't really a redhead, that is NOT a "deal breaker". Unfortunately, when it's about ethnic origin instead of hair color, the whackos come out of the woodwork. It has become soooo easy in our society to throw the word "racist" about (as long as you're throwing it at a person that looks the right way. There's the big "a-ha!"). Now, I would have agreed, if she had called you "prejudiced" because you seem to have "pre-judged" (Can you tell I was a linguist, in a previous life [and pedantic, until I die]?). Lastly, I would say: try dating ladies of different races. You never know what you might find out! P.S.; I think it would be nice if you obliterated the person's name from your posting. |
|
|
't if someone specifically says what they are looking for then I
will not contact them unless I match up.'
I do that too. Well, if I want to write them from something on their profile or their pictures. When it comes to journal postings or to high five them for a funny comment I don't always look at the profile first. |
|
|
If he wants to limit himself that's his choice. That doesn't
necessarily make the OP racist, perhaps a bit narrow in his
thinking
hell I didn't even know any white people until 1997, let alone date one yeah...if you're going to post messages sent in private, the username should be removed |

I thought the dialogue was pretty reasonable. The whole religious
demeanor was a little odd but nothing to get your panties up in a
bunch about.

------------------------------
smileyilicious: on your profile you said your looking for a single white female...is that all you date???? would you give up on all other races and possible love connections just because they are not white :(
------------------------------
BuzzBuzzard: Yes, that is my preference, and I am sure there are many other profiles on here that also have similar requirements. I have seen a variety of other requirements in profiles... height, weight, religion, salary, drinking, diet, activity level, etc. Some people may not think any of those things are important, but if someone specifically says what they are looking for then I will not contact them unless I match up.
I have no requirements for friendships other than being honest and a good person.
I hope that helped answer your question.
------------------------------
smileyilicious: I think your extremely close minded and need to change in your profile that you are open you are not an open person. True love will never find you because you fail to look outside the box good luck may God shed his divine light on your close minded mind, heart and soul.
------------------------------
BuzzBuzzard: You are absolutely incorrect. Here is the definition to the word open:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/open:
21. unreserved, candid, or frank, as persons or their speech, aspect, etc.: an open manner.
I do not understand the point of going out of your way to say something negative to a complete stranger. That is quite horrible.
------------------------------
smileyilicious: Or maybe Im an Angel sent from heaven that's saying "Open Your Eyes". Good bye!
