What has someone done to make you the happiest for a day?

Or the most excited for an hour.

(I will probably not make any further comments ITT.)

  • Random woman came up to me at work to say that I have "exotically gorgeous eyes".
  • Brother wrote about me, saying I am his hero and that he loves me most in the world for a school project when he was in second grade.
  • When people call me midnight on the dot for my birthday.
  • When my uni biology lab professor came up to bro fist me one day because I had the highest grade in the class.
  • When my English teacher hugged me and called my mom because I got a perfect score on an analytical essay we were assigned.

Only things I can remember right now.

Richenstein > The birthday wishes... so wonderful that they do that. My Mom used to always call me on my birthday at exactly 9:05 am... the time of my birth... silly, but sweet and I miss it terribly now. In about another week, it will be my second birthday without that call.

For a day or longer:

When my Mom would tell others how talented she thought I was with my drawings.

Every time my kids tell me they're happy they have me as their Mom instead of one like a friend of theirs' Mom.

When a friend remembered something I collect and made sure to get me one each birthday thereafter.

When I was completely miserable and limited on what I could eat and the man I was involved with at the time went to the store to get items, came back and prepared them, and then massaged my feet while I ate... even though he had a really hard day at work, he still tried to make mine a bit better.

For an hour or so:

Every time I hear my wind chimes. The pipes are a sturdy metal that are almost as long as my legs and they make the most incredibly beautiful music. Every time they play, I'm always amazed by how little wind it takes to move them and the sound is so wonderful I can feel the smile throughout my insides.

I asked someone to Beat OP with an ugly stick.  And they did!   :p

I was excited for many hours.

^ I absolutely love those big wind chimes!  There is nothing like it.

When I got an iPad unexpectedly for no special occasion.

The only thing that could top that would be a same-day delivery of 1/2 dozen N.Y.C. Cheese danish.

And winning the lottery.

How about activities, activities are fun right? Or can be.

well, leaving out sex as the obvious activity, I really was happy when my GF came with me to see the Star Trek movie (2009) even though she hates star trek movies. and surprise, she enjoyed it! That was special.

Also, raking leaves and gardening together.

Or playing with the dogs or cats together.

Or listening to some music and singing the lyrics together really loudly (like they do in silly movies), that's a hoot! (last nite it was the cast album to The Music Man with Robert Preston and Shirley Jones) It doesn't get much better than that.

Those are just everyday happy times.

When I was single and lived near the city, going into the city with a date was always a high. Could be for anything - just walking around in the city, getting something to eat/drink, visiting the sites - that's always fun for me. Doesn't require a lot of money, either. Don't need to  drive in and park; just take the bus in, and use the city's subways, etc., and lots of walking.

Going to a big city's conventions (like for new cars, toys, Star trek, etc.) where there's a theme that you're both interested in, that can be tons of fun.

Depends on what fun is for you, I guess. I love walking and seeing things, like window shopping. Seeing NYC during the holiday season is always a blast. Got to skate at Rockefeller Center once - would love to do that again with a date.
