New Site Design: How to request a WTF report
|---|---|
It's been changed to "Compare Answers". |
But name changes aside, it doesn't seem to work anymore. I just tried to request a wtf on the profile of somebody who woo'ed me. I clicked on "compare answers", which expended a small menu containing only "yes", "no", and "wtf". If I click on "no", it just collapses the menu. If I click in "yes", it goes to my wtf page, but does not show that any request has been submitted; and if I click "wtf", it goes to the help screen. But nowhere can I find how to actually submit the request. What gives? Are the name change and other site re-design elements brand new? I'm just coming back after some time away. If the changes are very recent, perhaps they have some bugs to fix? |
Oops, I misspoke. It doesn't say "wtf", it says "huh?". But my question stands -- am I missing something, or does it really not work anymore? |
Beuller?? Beuller?? Anyone know how/why this is broken and what the workaround/fix is going to look like? |
As far as I can tell, the only thing broken is the notification. Send a message asking for it. If you've both clicked "yes" then the report appears. |
I don't quite follow you. Send a message to whom? The person I wanted the WTF from?
And if the notification is missing, does that mean that maybe my request has even already been approved, and I just don't know it? |
If the request has been approved, then the report should be there. But yes, I mean send a report to the person in question. I have gotten a WTF report since the site redesign. She requested one, and mentioned it to me. I didn't see a request, so I requested one from her. Sort of like the old quickmatch, once we'd both requested one, the report appeared. |
Interesting. I will try that, although I guess I'll wait first to see if he even answers the actual message I already sent. It's funny how some folks will "woo" you, or send you a brief message telling you how interested they are in you, and then, if you reply with some interest, they never write back! Amazing how quickly excitement can turn to lack of interest... Makes you wonder if what actually excited them was sending the initial message/"woo", and they aren't actually intrested in meeting real people...
Hmm. If clicking "yes" actually did send the request, I guess I have filled his inbox with several of them! Oops!
Anyway, thanks for the tip! |

None of this makes ANY sense to me after the latest redesign.
"Compare" just leads to a list of how strong we each are on various
"badge" categories. I see no "Compare Answers" or any other way to
request a WTF. I already emailed customer service and got no
response. So, how on earth do I request a WTF report??? Somebody
who actually knows something and can explain it, help!
The redesign before the current one changed "Request a WTF Report"
to "Compare Answers",while "Compare Profiles" remained largely the
same. The NEW (December) redesign removed Compare Answers and
the text and picture display from Compare Profiles.
For the time being there IS a software workaround to request WTF reports, see the "WTF Reports" thread. |
And now it's back!!"WTF" is now there next to Compare. |
My friend did a WTF request for me and I don't know what this is
and nor I know how do it meninabia. Please, teach me
>>And now it's back!! >>"WTF" is now there next to
Compare. Is it just me ... or is it gone again?
OkCupid redesigns their site a lot. There are still WTF reports, but no visible
way to request a report at the moment. I'm sure they'll bring back
the "WTF report" option. It's a great feature.
I do not particularly like the Compare feature, it is much too
vague. I liked being able to see exactly what question I answered
differently then others and how. i hope they bring it back and make
it easy to use/access. There seems to be a lot of contradictory
info in the thread so i will just wait and see.

OK I admit it! I must be blind as a bat.WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

The button for asking for a WTF report is gone. No one knows how to
do it now. So, I found a way, and now I shall post it.
Step 1: Go to the victim's profile. Step 2: Copy the link of the button that says "Questions" Step 3: Paste that link somewhere. It should look like this: http://www.okcupid.com/questions/ask?targetid=10000503010000100001 Step 4: Copy only the long number from the end of it. Step 5: Put this before the number: http://www.okcupid.com/wtfhome?a=request&u= Step 6: Put this after the number: &page=outgoing Step 7: Copy the full thing and paste it into your address bar. Press enter and you're done. Request sent. |

That's AWESOME, sadanyagci. Thanks.
that is awesome.. but how the hell did you figure that out?? lol
With the recently updaetd site, I am unable to locate the "WTF" request button on profiles. Has that feature been removed or am I blind?
