Married, both looking for friends - maybe 'more'. How to subtly imply it could go further if they wanted it to without putting off potential platonic friendships?

Not that either is likely, but in theory :P

Just say you're looking for friends. If people are interested in 'maybe more', it'll develop on its own. They'll get to know that you and your wife are open as they get to know you better.

Maybe we should stick to that; we were just a bit sad that since we changed our status to 'married' nobody seems to want to talk to us anymore..!

You could always list yourselves as 'available'. Because that status exists, 'seeing someone' and 'married' sort of imply that you're unavailable, or that your availability is on the DL.

Actually you can't list yourself as "available," as it isn't a category to choose.

List yourself as Married. Then on the profile section which asks "what you're looking for," you have to choose at least one of the dating or casual sex items.

Then your profile will show you as "Available," even though you've checked Married.

Ah, thankyou!  I didn't know about that.

If you're looking for dating (or sex) and you're seeing someone or married, you just listed yourself as available.

So in other words, you can list yourself as available, even though it's not a category to choose.

That's true, the same "available' will show if you're Seeing Someone, or Married, and choose the dating options on what you're looking for.

But it isn't obvious, and people regularly used to post in the Help forum about why someone was contacting them when they obviously had Married or SS checked as their status. They hadn't bothered to change the Looking For section after they got into the relationship, thinking they only had to change their status.

It's not really obvious, that's why I mentioned it.
