| Dr-Joe May 11, 2009 I transitioned my gender from female-to-male 8 years ago. I
recently joined OkCupid and I am pleased with the site. My primary
purpose or goal for posting this particular topic was to give
anyone--in particular--women, who are genuinely interested and open
to meeting transmen, an opportunity to ask questions, explore
curiosities and talk about the various ways "dating a transman" may
or may not be different then dating non-transmen (or biologically
born men). I will attempt to answer all questions as openly as
possible. Additionally, if you are not genuinely interested in
engaging in an intellectual, open-minded and respectful discussion
about this issue, then I am asking you to keep your comments short
and to the point. Additionally, it is probably important to
recognize that I may not respond back to you at all unless doing so
will help broaden your mind or clarify an important point to
others. Therefore, I invite you to bring on the questions and allow
me a chance to dispel the myths, address concerns and open your
mind to an entirely new type of man and potential dating
experience.

| LeahIsRad May 11, 2009 Can you get a hard-on? Serious question. I really am surprised at
how manly you look.
| |
| wambulancetaken May 11, 2009 Leah would date ya. :D
| |
| CapeCodEmily May 11, 2009 How big is your cock? Does it get hard and function for sex like
with an average 5-7" biologically born man? That's my only concern
with transgendered f2m otherwise I really wouldn't care.
| |
| Dr-Joe May 11, 2009 LeahIsRad, It would probably help if you clarified what you mean by
hard-on, because, women actually get them too. The cliterous is
constructed of the same tissue as the penis and works/functions in
much the same way, just on a much smaller scale. Like the penis,
when turned on, the clit fills up with blood, which is then pushed
out during orgasm (a hard-on). Once on testosterone, most
transmen's cliterous' grow into what looks like and functions like
a micro-penis. So to answer your question, like non-transman (or
biologically born men) transmen DO get hard-ons. Dr-Joe
| |
| LeahIsRad May 11, 2009 By not knowing what a hard-on was, you just failed the man test.
Sorry. You totally didn't answer my question, but thanks for
letting me know what happens to my clitoris. Can you have sex with
a woman, buster?
| |
| G_mac May 11, 2009 You're fucking lying Dr.
| |
| CapeCodEmily May 11, 2009 You're pretty hot. I just stalked you. I honestly can't see how you
ever passed for a woman because you do look very manly! You didn't
answer my question though...
| |
| G_mac May 11, 2009 CapeCod......he is lying...
| |
| Dr-Joe May 11, 2009 CapeCodEmily, The average size penis is between 5.1" to 5.7" long.
However, most transmen cannot penetrate with their phallus, unless
of course they have had additional bottom surgery. Additionally, I
always like to remind people that you can--in essence--penetrate
someone with almost anything; toys, fists, feet, tongue, the list
goes on. I've had sex with my fair share of women (straight, bi,
lesbian, queer), both pre and post transition and satisfying them
sexually has never been an issue, and I am sure, if you met the
right transguy, it wouldn't be either. Dr-Joe
| |
| CapeCodEmily May 11, 2009 Gmac why do you think he's lying?
| |
| LeahIsRad May 11, 2009 Then honestly no. Not to be mean, but seeing a cock get hard before
my eyes or in my hand is a major turn for me. And then the whole
actually having sex part...most likely not. I'd also get kinda weirded out if my boyfriend could give me advice about...girl stuff. | |
| Dr-Joe May 11, 2009 LeahIsRad, Of course I can have sex with a women. In my world, sex
consists of many things, and is not just about "intercourse."
However, if you are asking--can I have intercourse with a women, I
absolutely can. Dr-Joe
| |
| LeahIsRad May 11, 2009 Fair enough. It sounds like you are very happy with your decision
so I wish you the best.
| |
| scottwm1013 May 11, 2009 What Leah is saying is, she likes big hard man meat. not toys
| |
| CapeCodEmily May 11, 2009 Most women like toys... but not instead of big hard man meat.
| |
| G_mac May 11, 2009 This guy is doing an experiement....maybe for a class...maybe for
the hell of it.....If he was telling the truth, he would post a pic
of himself pre-trans....I don't think he's lying...I know
he's lying...
| |
| Dr-Joe May 11, 2009 LeahIsRed, I totally understand. You are absolutely entitled to
enjoy what it is you enjoy. Being sexual with someone, or falling
for someone, is certainly a preference thing, and if you want a 6"
cock, then you should have it. In regards to getting women advice
from a boyfriend, I can certainly understand not wanting that too,
which is why it is important to recognize that there is a world of
diversity out there and that there is someone for everyone. Dr-Joe

| craigmachine May 11, 2009 7, it took 7 posts until an angry response. I thought it'd be way
less, and in all fairness to G_mac, way angrier. I have no idea if
he's lying or not, but I'm going to assume he's telling the truth
because I don't care enough to call someone on here a liar. That
being said, I'm semi-hypocritical. I wouldn't date a transwoman,
but I do consider a transman a man, and a transwoman a woman. I
also wouldn't care if one of my friends dated someone
transgendered. I just wouldn't date one myself.
| |
| Dr-Joe May 11, 2009 Craigmachine, Thanks for the kind words and open-mindedness. Dr-Joe
