Feel free to visit those "non-loser sites" instead.

There are about 5,273 different models of cellphones on the market.  I doubt OkCupid or any website expects to work perfectly on all of them.

If you want any real suggestions, provide some real info, like the exact brand and model number of your phone, as well as your carrier.

Thanks.

Ok Mr. Okcupid spoke's man...I have a Motorola Ve 440. Metro PCS is my carrier. Don't you guys test or even care about the mobile site. That is really good customer relations. Visit one of the other sites not OK we will try and fix the problem. Geez how arrigant can you get..?

Umm, first of all, I do not work for OkCupid.

Second of all, I think it's rather "arrigant" to think that every website in the world is going to work perfectly on every crappy cellphone in the world.  Duh.

Thirdly, the web browser on that device is what is called a "WAP browser", which is mostly targeted to special simplified websites designed specifically for that protocol. While that web browser was popular at one time in simple cellphones, its marketshare just amongst mobile browsers currently ranks #9 in the USA and falling. (there are more people surfing the web from their Sony Playstations than there are using any phone or device that incorporate that web browser today)

Worse yet, it's got notorious compatibility issues.  Quoting: "It's not particularly easy to ensure that a mobile site works with the Openwave browsers either. They can't handle pages having much over 30 KB of text and images, botch up background colors and CSS positioning rather badly and seem to have some un-documented limit on the number of of <a> elements on a page."

All of which is to say, it's a fringe platform by today's standards, and the VE440 in particular doesn't get very good reviews (linklink), so I don't think anyone is going to shed many tears if VE440 users don't have a good experience here.

Ok got ya so you only accommodate the better cell phones.. Well the site still sucks because most people have crappy cell phones. Couldn't OKcupid come up with a simpler site for cell phone usage to a help all the simpleton's of the world. The meek shall inherit the world you know or didn't you hear?? How would I get my point accross to OKcupid management?

1Sweetkiss, dude, there is hundreds of thousands of different cellphone types out there. Its logically impossible to cover all of them. No programmers in their right mind will try to cover all of them.

This has got to be the the pussy-ist bitch fight in internet history. 1Sweetkiss,I hope you have your vagina shaved for when Sylvester Stallone rapes some testosterone in you, because Sly hates hairy bitches.

I use the OkCupid app for Android, and it works just fine and dandy.

I hate hairy and FAT bitches too. OK so I have to spend like $500 for a Droid phone to be able to get on here. What I am wondering is why my so called sucky phone picks up Singlesnet and Plentyoffish OK. OKcupid is just inferior or they have inferior programmers and just like the Surfguy they just don't care..

The OPERA mini web browser works fine on OkCupid's mobile site, and it works on all sorts of cellphones.

Have you tried that?  link

You're screwed.

And not just because you can't surf the site on that crappy phone of yours.

If you have the option to do so, try setting your cell phone's "view" to Text Only rather than full content.  That's the only way I can make OKC work on my crappy phone.

Cupid could be more accomodating and build a mobile site...

They are and they did.  You just have a poor device.

scintillation: Depending on which phone you have, you may be able to improve that situation further. See my previous comments here.

Well it looks as if i am having the same problem with my samsung freeform from metro PCS. while it would be nice to check the site from time to time i know this is a crappy phone so i see no reason to get my panties in a bunch over the fact that it dont work on my phone. Thats why i bought a computer after all.If they ever resolve the issue great. If not thats fine also.
