Bump. Why is changing your location no longer possible OkCupid?

Settings\Personal Settings

It was changed to this from "My Account\Edit" at some point in the past year.

And it's very hard to find. Actually, it's currently Settings\Location & basic information (on the right of the settings page).

Thanks, jarnskeggr75!

I have tried changing my location by typing in the city/state, or typing in the ZIP code, multiple times... and even though it saves in the settings, my profile still shows my old city.

Obviously these are old posts.  OKCUPID why did you remove the ability to change location.  Are you stupid?  Obviously people move.  I have searched high and low in my settings and profile and there are no ways to change my location.

View your own profile.  See the green pencils just about everywhere?  The one by your age/sex/orientation/location is the one you want for this.

It will only let me change country but not city or state...

I stayed in Utah for a few weeks last month, and took my profile with me from Arizona.  I just randomly changed it to Calgary, AB, and back home again, and it worked.

Ella-Belle: Most likely a browser issue. You're clicking the green "edit pencil" near the top of your profile where it shows your age, right? Then clicking the green "Save" button?

I would consider trying a different browser, you probably have some overly aggressive browser add-in, toolbar, or security utility that is selectively blocking page elements here.

^And she deletes her profile right afterwards?

Ya just can't please some people. :P

(Edit: I see what she did there. That can be an confusing feature, the non-straight profile-hiding thing...)

^ Thanx for the tip.  I just made myself bisexual for 3 minutes so I could see what the fuss was about.

I just tried three different browsers and it's still not changing for me (clicked on the pencil, changed the info, then hit save -- nothing in Chrome, FF, or IE). I'm in South Korea now and would like to see local matches. :)

^You've got some problem on your computer then. Probably a buggy or misconfigured security tool that is mangling web content.

Try clearing the cache/cookies from the browser, close/reopen/reload and see if it shows it.
