what is a katy perry?

Former Christian rock singer who sold her soul to the Illuminati mind control program to bring about the New World Order. I think her songs are really catchy. Sometimes she performs with a furry alter-ego named Kitty Purry:

why do companies think that making something cheaper will increase it's marketing appeal? overpricing is good for that; some rich people are so dumb they think spending more is always the way to go when they need to make an impulsive shopping decision; re-introducing something into a market at a higher price, especially if it's a special interest market might increase it's marketing appeal; on things like designer fashionion this worked for a while; 200 dollars for jeans and people used to buy them because everybody knew how much they cost; making everybody think they could afford to spend that much on something like a pair of jeans; "those are expensive" is the reason people bought them, the only reason; loved it

this phenomenon however, is nothing new, it's discussed at legnth at the theoretical level by the late american sociologist thorstein veblen, as far back as the 19th century; conspicious consumption and it's not as irritating once you understand such things; actually it just gives you an advantage because now you know what it's called when somebody drops that much dough so pretentiously, so publically to create a spectacle around themselves; that's how money is though it's exciting even if it's meaningless; if you are searching for meaning in your life which is common among thoughful young adults, it's pretty depressing to see so many airheads getting off on something that is basically just a hallucination

It isn't for me, it's £29.99, which is $45 :(

I could go to an actual physical shop and get it cheaper than that. Did I miss the sale or something?

Wait. What? It's $5 on the site I linked. Click the "Sims 3 Base Game" button

Also, if you end up getting the game (legally or not), y'all should add me on Steam and Origin

same with Civ 5 or SimCity

Let me start my response by saying EA is evil. Let me finish my response by informing you that Sims 4 is scheduled for release in 2014.

I havent bought any new EA games lately due to that.

Also, any luck on 3rd party games on steam? I've had none with my purchases. :(

And is the new Sim City's bugs fixed yet?

$5 for the barebones game and then how many DLC packages are there? 6? 10? Each one costing about 50 bucks.

It's a scam. Don't support EA. Just go to the pirate bay and get it all for free.

The girl (KPopp) who made the Sims 3 Pregnancy Challenge youtube series is starting a new series, Sims 3 Hunger Games:

(intro episode, episodes #1 and #2 should be on the top of the list on the right)

The expansion packages are each about $8-$13 from Origin.

Thing is, it's of extremely little value to them. They're increasing their audience (assuming people fall for the scam) as a promotional strategy for when they start advertising The Sims 4.

And *some* of the SiMCity glitches have been corrected and sorted. Not all. They're definitely working on SimCity improvements, just slowly. That's OK with me (I'm a long-term relationship gamer anyway), but not a whole ton of impatient crybaby SimCity fans.

Not sure what you mean? I hook up Microsoft Word, FreeCell and MS Paint all the time on Steam. cuz i'm so hipster

TRUTH.
