romans destroyed their culture and lost their power because they turned into a bunch of puffers. just like the west is beginning to lose its power over the world as the puffs garner more and more influence

Yeah, it was just BY FAR the longest-running empire in the history of the human race. They really ruined it didn't they, ROFL.

It seems you're real good at denying the validity of anyone's label that they choose to use for themselves and others they identify with.

thanks. you're really good at missing the point.

the profile in question identifies as male.

aren't they crossing a line by refusing the label he adopts for himself - or does that only hold true when the person in question is genderqueer?

The thing is, no one here that I can see had the slightest issue with it until an interloper like yourself blasts in and starts ridiculing people over something that doesn't even apply to you.

are you saying that consensus is the same as correctness?

are you saying that consensus is the same as correctness?

You just go to the ends of the earth trying to convince yourself you're right, eh?

No, that was not what I was trying to suggest.

And I'm not sure it matters at this point since it's becoming increasingly apparent you are swimming in an impenetrable wall of self-rationalizations.

Hint #1: You cannot simultaneously be considerate to others while being "always right".

Hint #2: Being considerate does not mean "I will tolerate someone only if I can do what I was already going to do in the first place". If you're not willing to make some sort of effort or some sort of compromise in order to treat people with kindness, you're not considerate, you're just self-centered.

thanks, dude!

hint #3: i'm not claiming that i'm considerate and kind, simply pointing out that you are very much less so than you seem to think you are.

particularly in that your behavior in this instance is wrong - specifically in your failure to apply logic consistently to your rules and expectations for all people regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.

which seems odd to me for someone who's so picky about this particular forum.
