The End

The Fat Project went from September 30th - October - 30th, 2000, and was a total success. Well over 2 million people watched Eric and Nicole struggle and eventually triumph over the basic human instinct for self-preservation and diginity.

Perhaps because she didn't make it all the way to the extra 30 lbs., Nicole had no trouble shedding the weight she gained. We checked in with her a few months after the project was over, and she looked as fit as when we first met her. Apparently, she was a hurdler in high school, and she hit the track after returning to Alabama. She did indeed avoid the Navy and went to college on the money she made.

Eric, who we kept in touch over the years, never did quite lose the extra pounds. He did, however, appear on Hollywood Squares because of his Fat Project notoriety, which we think is darn neat.

I leave you with the definitive "before" and "after" shots.

If you enjoyed this, Stinkyfeet and Date My Sister just might thrill you senseless. Check 'em out.
