I think a lot about animation and how I can get more proficant with 3D applications like Maya and 3D Studio Max.

I'm an undergraduate in "3D Digital Graphics," which basically means 3D animation (kind of like Pixar, special effects, video game graphics, etc...). I spend most of my time working on 3D animation projects.
In my spare time I study and practice doing 3d animation and modeling. I am working hard to get into commercial art and advertising, more specifically making commercials. Hopefully I can jump to different aspects of 3d art and design especially gaming.

new 3D animation I've created
some more 3D work. More specifically I wanted
to try to emulate those super cool scanning electron microscope

there many females in the 3D arts? I mean, even at my school, my
graduating animation class will have only 2 females going into the
3D field. Is there something that males see in 3D that females
generally don't enjoy? I mean, the way I see 3D
On happenstance and heroism...

attend the DAVE (Digital Animation and Visual Effects) School. It's
a one year program that gives a hard and fast crash course on
creating and compositing using 3D and visual effects. Modeling,
animation, compositing, and a final production are the four phases
of
Ummmmm.....
This kinda screwed the instructor for the Modeling 2 class, as well
as the 3D Animation 2 teacher since this retard taught the intro
level to both.

Are there any Full Sail grads with jobs?
I moved out there to go
to a trade school for 3D animation. Originally, I had planned on
going to a school called Full Sail, which claimed to have a great
3D animation and game design course, etc.
fail: we dated for almost a year and he loved his video games more then me.
In my
department(3d animation) the arguement of whether gaming is art
within the art community was a constant discussion. Funny thing was
2d animation was already considered, and 3d has pretty much been
accepted. Gaming was just the combination of animation and a miriad
of other layers of concepts

even though The Incredibles is 3D it came out when Disney announced
they would no longer do 2D animation and that just makes me cry,
though they are finally bringing it back with The Frog Prince this
year. So many 3D movies just don't understand that

My ultimate goal is to get into traditional animation, but
I do enjoy games and 3D animation too, as well as value the
experience they can bring.
