the hair bands were pretty good. The rest of them sucked horribly. Power metal was alright but by the late 80's I had forsaken a lot of that for thrash metal.I hated hip-hop then but a lot that sounds way better than most of the shit that's come out today.Punk wasn't really mainstream in the 80's.

IMO, Prong is one of the top metal bands of the late 80's, early and mid 90's and a forgotten gem. They just came out at a bad time, with 80's hair metal still being popular and the rising of grunge music.
