and i see a
mention of david lloyd, but no Alan moore. So i'm thinking maybe
Alan moore is soo left-ist he didn't want mention, of his two
greatest works..or there was a discrepancy with him and DC or the
studio. Either way I think Alan Moore deserves to get a writing
credit in both movies.

Hm, but 'The Mindscape of Alan Moore' does look
worthwhile.

Watchmen is coming out in a week and I am standing firm on refusing
to see it. The reasons are many but the chief one is -
unsurprisingly - Alan Moore is against it. His reasons for being
cynical are many and are for good reason. Moore is, above all else,
a bearded, scary looking man

exclusively to express the same
ideas about "V for Vendetta" that its author, Alan Moore, has
spread far and wide through various interviews. So, yes, Josh is
parroting Moore; there's little room for doubt. Not only are
Moore's ideas parroted, but his melodrama is also emulated in
Josh's comment.

Alan Moore is
the guy that writes graphic novels that get mistaken for literature
- even his superhero stuff (Watchmen). This is one case where the
novel, unless written by Alan Moore, is inferior in every way to
the comic book.

Has nothing to do with the books, and
Alan Moore had no say in its being made. Literally, he wasn't able
to stop them, since DC owned the rights at the time. That's why you
won't see anything that says 'based on the comic by Alan Moore' in
the credits. Moore demanded his name be *stripped* from the

good Frank Miller or Alan Moore any time. DC and Marvel could both
vanish and I wouldn't miss 'em much.I hear ya. One League of
Extraordinary Gentlemen release from Alan Moore is usually worth
any long box full of mainstream dreck.

But
Alan Moore somehow morphed it into something that you really,
really care about. Sometimes I wanted to reach through the pages
and hug poor old Swamp Thing. That's what I liked; Moore got me to
genuinely care about the character, who should have been rather a
dumb throwback to the Golden and
