My favorites would have to be Arch Enemy, Dark
Tranquility, Unexpect, Kalmah, Eluveitie, Finntroll, Katatonia,
Machine Head, Gorod, Arsis, The Faceless...Arch Enemy definitely
plays the best live show out of any metal band I've seen though
(and I have seen many).
