I wish they'd repeat DS9 sometime. But the stuff since
then was just terrible. Might get around to watching Babylon 5 at
some point, which everyone says is what DS9 ripped off; I never saw
it first time around, thank you Channel 4 and your stupid
scheduling.
I am also a Star Trek (TNG, DS9, and Voyager)
fan, and enjoy wathching the show. ... (all three), CSI
(all three), Star Trek (all, but mostly TNG Voyager and DS9 ), a
lot of crime dramas, and any show that involves police flashy

Futurama .

Unlike the other Star Trek series', DS9 is mostly based in a single
location.

After watching stiff,
underwritten TNG Worf I longed for layered, compelling DS9 Worf so
I fired up "Way of the Warrior" earlier this evening. Terrific
episode. What's great about DS9 Worf is this. ... On "DS9" he's set
against Dax, who despite being a hot model chick is way more
Klingon than he

After watching DS9, I can't watch TNG. ... In DS9 every episode pretty much affected the
characters how they interacted with each other.

No, not really, anymore than any
of the TOS or TNG movies were art (though I could argue the merits
of several of the respective show's episodes, and DS9 as well), any
more than any "franchise" scifi can be considered "art.

This is one of the things I liked about DS9. And not just how
characters actually changed over the course of the series, but how
storylines did as well. Voyager did some of this as well, but not
as well as DS9, IMHO.

(Star Trek: First
Contact; DS9: "Call to Arms", et al.) Several Akira-class ships
were stationed near Deep Space 9 during the war. (DS9: "The
Magnificent Ferengi", "Afterimage") As well, several were involved
in most of the major battles of the war.

I think its fun, and it set it
all up, but really, I'd rather watch Next Gen or DS9. DS9 pretty
much kicked ass once I got into, and once Sisko shaved his head and
grew the goatee, then you knew he was badass, kind of like Shaft.
Comment by sallyseashore
Dextly, yes, DS9 is by far the better comparison. No
surprise, since Ron Moore was a writer (I think the head writer)
for DS9 and the creator/head writer for BSG.

I don't know, DS9 was pretty awesome. ... It's hard to compare something like
DS9 to SW. They are both great. I would have to go with DS9 over
Star Wars in filmed media form.

Haha, DS9 only had carpets in Quark's saloon. Also private
quarters. It goes TOS, DS9, Voyager, TNG. Enterprise
was a pathetic joke. TNG was really rather dull, Voyager had
promise, but really didn't capitalize. DS9 was really good
until it got all soap opera, and then

every episode was a gleaming jewel in the rising
dungheap of ST that DS9 was expanding. The ONLY episode of
Voyager that was shaky was the pilot and that was only because it
showed DS9.Here's a DS9 run through.
Comment by SouthernSun
If we're gona get into writing, then TNG
was the episodic god of sci-fi, and I'd say that DS9 and B5 are
JOINT gods, because B5 would not have worked if DS9 hadn't gotten
there first and proved that a station works for a plot (remember,
DS9 started a year before B5, 93 vs 94)

Top that for geek cred
:P DS9 was, hands down, the best Trek ever, followed by TNG,
then TOS, then Ent, and then Voyager, and here's why. While
the high points of TNG were higher, DS9 is the only Trek to hit the
ground running and be very consistent through its entire run, and
its
