I'd have to say Marylin Manson's cover of "This is Halloween" by
Danny Elfman. They did a good version of the song, but the original
is better by far. Same with Fall Out Boy's version of "What's
this?" by Danny Elfman again.

I also like trevor rabin and of course Danny Elfman.I dont
know if anyone has noticed but many of these composers started in
80-90s bands. Elfman was obviously in the band oingo boingo
which got tim burtons attention.
