Well then, William Faulkner is fucked. Since genres of literature can be compared to genres of music. Faulkner doesn't deserve the drama awards he got for As I Lay Dying because there was a little bit of comedy and existentialism in it.

William Faulkner's "The Sound and the Fury" contains many breaks from traditional style. This is because Faulkner was being true to the dialect of the people the story revolved around. Indeed, Faulkner's great understanding of grammar allows that novel to maintain coherence.
