It all sounds like a lot but barely amounts to over a year of good training.I've always been a bit of a gun nut, but only own two. I was not raised with firearms but taught myself.

people owning firearms....that basic right, is rightfully protected by our Constitution. The problem is that a huge percentage of the poeple that already own firearms have almost no training on there proper use and saftey.  Any time our Government tries to Legislate any type training mandate

crime does exist, a criminal can strike at any time, your life and the lives of those around you are worth protecting, and it's really not so difficult a situation to master with the proper training and attitude.Yes, it's a tremendous responsibility but that's where your firearms training comes in.

that's where training comes in. Just like with any other potentially dangerous tool, if you're untrained in its use, the danger increases.Katibear, correct, but if people are educated and have proper respect for firearms, there will be far fewer accidental (read: negligent) deaths from firearms.
