Can you tell I'm not great at fixing computers?
Ok question number 2: Whenever I'm writing a mail message on OkC,
the page refreshes itself every few seconds and the cursor
disappears meaning I have to click on my message every time!! It
doesn't happen here, or on IM. Is there any way to stop it...so
frustrating!!!
For posterity
primary skill with computers is
hardware and system administration, with a smattering of
networking. I don't usually talk about this too much unless someone
asks(or is also interested in these subjects), but it does mean I
can fix computers, really, really ... a knack for fixing
things, contorting
Strange turn of events
However,
I also love fixing computers. I love taking something that isn't
functioning properly, finding out what exactly is wrong, then
making it into a functional object again. It doesn't matter if I
use the computer or not, I just like fixing it.

on here for a living who are users here and that also isn't a good
way to stand out. Don't make an advertisement out of your job just
say I own an business repairing computers.
Rant: Just because I'm nerdy doesn't mean I'm competent
People think because I use computers I know
about computers. And because I know about computers I naturally
want to spend hours fixing theirs for free.
What's up with you people and computers?
In reality knowing computers is much more than
that. While I'm on the subject, don't forget about best buy
and the "geek squad", who have crafted out an industry of fixing
the internet savvy people's computers problems.
Nerds are sexy?
I like what they're generally into,
computers, video games, fixing things, general electronics,
etc.
