I seem to remember Camus or Heidegger - I think it was Heidegger - expounded on this and as I remember gave as an example the French "Il y a" - it means at once "there is" and "there are" and I remember that Heidegger (I think) believed that the French having a term that meant both these things at

yeah guy85- big it up for Heidegger!I'm going to make this a really chaotic pseudo intellectual thread- it'll be like walking into the middle of a Burroughs' novel: It's funny how we scrutinise over these details, ie Heidegger and Sartre and yet we still let kids watch Disney.
