I discovered (thank you, Google) that the sleeve reference wasn't from "Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test", it was from "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail", circa 1972, by the great Hunter S. Thompson:Once, newly introduced to acid, Thompson accidentally spilled some of the drug (and its substrate).

Cornelius and Hunter are my housemate's cats. Their relationship with each other is spectacularly homo-erotic. She calls them Corny and Hunter. I occasionally spoonerise their names accidentally. Hunter, like his namesake Hunter S Thompson likes to beat up the 'girls'.

Now, though, I've started using the handle 'thompson.shunter' which is a reference, of course, to Hunter S. Thompson, who said something I've always identified with: "I'd never recommend sex, drugs, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

Recently, stumbleupon led me to this BBC documentary on Hunter S Thompson that was done in the early seventies; it was amazing to watch, and as far as I'm aware, the first mention he'd made of his desire to have his ashes shot out of a cannon upon his death.
