brag about which artistically demanding films they like and when I
finally watch them, they do absolutely nothing for me. I rarely
enjoy artsy or low-budget films. ... But I do plan on picking up Italian, French and
Chinese again.

films will trump big budget releases if I'm
choosing. Much as I love them, big budget spectacle films like The
Dark Knight are, in my opinion, not good first date movies because
they often draw big crowds (not a plus when you are trying to be
cozy) and because we all have expectations for films

Hmm, I prefer TV series to films for DVD sessions, as you get to
know the characters and their subtleties in greater depth than in a
two-hour film. ... The Italian Job - the original and not the
remake.
