I used to be REALLY into Japanese horror. The Ringu books are SO much better than the films, though. They actually make sense. :x A couple other good Japanese horror films are Uzumaki (fun to watch, but the comics are way better), Marrionerre (I think that's the title.

Dead / Alive is outrageous horror - but maybe too funny/ goofy for some.The original Ringu (Japanese) was pretty damn good.The original Texas Chainsaw Massacres scared the crap out of me.Rosemary's Baby is pretty freakin' scary.  Polanski knows horror.
