:DLao TzuGood one. Although hermeneutical studies suggest that Tao Te Ching had numerous authors not all of the same exact time period even. Lao Tzu is probably a mythological figure of sorts.

Hsuan-chien 宣鑑 (died 865), the spiritual ancestor of the Yunmen 雲門 (Ummon in Japanese) and Fa-yen 法眼 (Hoogen in Japanese) Schools of the tenth century, taught a doctrine of "doing nothing" which harks back to Ma-tsu and reminds us of the philosophy of Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu.
