the Mayor Testerman killed in the Matewan Massacre. Sid Hatfield,
the Chief of Police of Matewan who was involved in the shooting, is
charged with the deaths of the detectives.
"Redneck" is a hurtful and demeaning label. You should stop using it.
It's origins are from when the union mine workers from other
areas of WV merged into Matewan WV to help organize the mine
workers against a greedy corrupt company, they wore red scarfs
around their necks so that they would be easily identified.
