back and look at how Motown got its start. When you do that come back and we can talk shop. And simply because something became a colloquial term does not mean it's what it is. Stop using misnomers to bring your point home-the motown sound is simply a ... just stand solely on one label (Tamla/Motown).

MOTOWN IS NOT A STYLE OF MUSIC YOU FUCKER. MOTOWN WAS A LABEL YOU FUCKWIT. There is a distinct motown sound, but it's not a style.

That's why its called the MOTOWN SOUND. And yes they refer to it as the motown style.

Where people including the artists, the record lables, even the rolling stones mag,other none motown artists, people in the music biz, newspaper writers. refered to motown as a style and a sound of music.
