Harpy, I don't know that the "noir chick" is a strong female character, and I'm pretty sure she's not a role ... They also exist in noir fiction (Sam Spade's long suffering secretary, for one). But mostly the "noir chick" is vain, venal, deceitful and lustful.

well, your hat made me think of film noir and I have several fedoras, so, I'm thinking something Art Decco-y...maybe. Although Art Decco was big in the '30's and film noir is '40's, so, let me get back to you on that.
