students, doubling the size of the Peace Corps by 2011 and
expanding the AmeriCorps national service program to 1 million

on the Peace Corps, though. If you don't get into the Peace
Corps there are still a lot of opportunities in TESOL, though, so
the minor could help there- but again most countries would rather
have experience in the language than TESOL training. Where did you
want to get assigned in the Peace Corps?

Why Peace Corps and not the military? I believe in
what JFK said when he started the Peace Corps: he challenged people
to serve their country in the cause of peace by living and working
in developing countries. I respect our military so much, but Peace
Corps was a better fit for me.

benefit from it.I don't feel I was going on about serving my
country--I said serving in Peace Corps was serving my country.

What about programs

safety net for the Corps right? We do quite a bit of good out there
with the Corps. I am a Peace Corps vet myself. Guess who retrieves
the Peace Corps in times of crisis?

Why are the Peace
Corps in the Ukraine, a US-puppet democracy and not in Russia?
(that's a rhetorical question, no need to answer it). Do Ukrainians
often talk to you about the CIA-financed Orange Revolution and
their views on it?So, you're in the Peace Corps, "serving your
country".
