In need of a good read.

Bradbury's horror/coming of age/loss of innocence "Something Wicked This Way Comes" is good and of course there his dystopian anti-censorship classic "Fahrenheit 451". Basically you can't go wrong with Ray Bradbury.

I agree with anything by Vonnegut, 1984 and will add Brave New World and Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Actually, Bradbury is awesome too.

I enjoy just about everything from Ray Bradbury, but it's a lot of crazy fantasy/sci fi---Martian Chronicles come to mind, as does Something Wicked This Way Comes--but she didn't want those.Twice 22 is a collection of short stories by Ray Bradbury----tough book to find.

This is actually a paraphrase from Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury, probably through the good-but-not-great Disney film adaptation.  I once had a first edition that the estimable Mr. Bradbury inscribed for me, now gone.
