I am an avid renaissance enthusiast. I work at the Texas Renaissance Festival during October/ November, and love traveling to the other Faires in Texas. I'm also looking forward (with proper planning) on traveling the country to go to other faires.

So I started doing Renaissance Faires across the country just so I could see her sometimes. (romantic? ME?)I guess I should have just moved to PA, cause she dumped me after a year and 1/2.So I kept doing Renaissance Faires .

I like renaissance faires, playing in the SCA, going to Medieval Times, dressing up in costume (or garb as we call it in the SCA), and freaking out the mundane (another SCA term) when I like to wear a costume to places other than a renaissance faire, or SCA event, but this usually occurs in one of

the love for Renaissance Romantic times has drawn me to theatrical reinactment groups such as Breathren Of The Coast. Renaissance Faires only occur infrequently, but there's always something happening with pyrate groups!

Nerds Unite!

Comment by froggirl58

Hopeless nerd: have built my own computer, grad studies in Music History (ABT), play strange medieval and Renaissance instruments, have been playing Traveller since 1979, SCA, member of Guild of St. George (nobles' guild for several Renaissance Faires),  etc.

People who LARP and the SCA

Comment by froggirl58

SCA and Renaissance Faire people are interested in living history/ historical reenactment, whereas LARPers are playing a game. I was in the SCA for 16 years and still occasionally attend events; I also portray a noble (real historical person) at various Renaissance faires/festivals.

Wiccans and Pagans

Comment by

that Wiccans and Pagans are almost unanimously obnoxious in things that don't have to do with their religion - mostly their complete worship of anything sold at Hot Topic, horrific taste in music, frequenting of Renaissance faires in historically inaccurate corsets, outspoken angsty opinions, etc.
