Unfortunately, I didn't catch any of "Bats," but luckily, they
started showing "Pterodactyl," another Sci-Fi Pictures original
movie. Sci-Fi Pictures original movies are, of course, movies that
are made for TV, specially for the Sci-Fi Channel.

Why doesn't the Sci-Fi Channel do HighDef right?
happy when my cable company decided to add the Sci-Fi
channel in high def. While much of the programming on Sci-Fi is
pretty putrid there are some pretty decent shows (always remember
Ted Sturgeon's law). But only a few shows on Sci-Fi are actually
broadcast in high def, primarily their originals.
