You're not selling out, as you know, the best users of english are generally scottish anyways. ;-)dreich and uist are possibly loan words from gaelic or scots to english anyways, but i'm sure they'd be in any UK based dictionary.

Gaelic, there is Irish Gaelic, Welsh Gaelic, Scottish Gaelic, and a few others, they are similar but do have variations, much like Mexican spanish and spanish spanish.Irish is NOT a language, it is a nationality. Gaelic is the language you speak of. Their main language they use is English. Gaelic

(grandson of Faelán) became the surname Ó Faoláin in modern Irish Gaelic, which was in turn anglicised to Whelan. My own surname is a Scottish corruption of the anglicisation of the modernisation of the Middle Irish name.So yeah, I could have just said Irish.Also Scottish, English and Canadian.
