I read in the paper this morning that Terry Pratchett is suffering
from some rare form of early onset Alzheimers. What shitty news.
However, in true Pratchett style, he apparently described it as 'an
embuggerance'.

cfm/article/3689 It has his
signature on it: a bulletin on Discworld News reveals that, after
all, SF/Fantasy writer and humourist Terry Pratchett is not dead,
and doesn't expect to be for some time.

allegorically for low humor and then
slip in a mind blowing observation or two about humanity and you
have the full Terry Pratchett experience. Each of Pratchett's works
are centered around one of four basic sets of protagonists: Tenured
University Magicians, Hedge Witches, City Guards and Death.

And terry pratchett is a good whimsical author with
several quick and short books for those who need a good funny read
without enough time to invest. In fact, everyone should be required
to read "Good Omens" By Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaimon.

Frankly, I would prefer
it if people kept things cheerful, because I think there's time for
at least a few more books yet :o) Terry Pratchett PS I would just
like to draw attention to everyone reading the above that this
should be interpreted as 'I am not dead'.

Once, Terry Pratchett was visiting a small farm in Gloucester, for
he knew that a lamb was being born that night. However, the lamb
was stillborn. Terry Pratchett then took the lamb into his arms,
and caressed it with his beard, and the the little lamb was alive,
miraculously.

I'd
probably have to say "Mort" by Terry
Pratchett, not so much
because of the book itself, but because it
lead me to read many other books
from the author.

"Irrelevant and off topic, but isn’t Terry Pratchett an author to
some comic novel series?
