allegorically for low humor and then slip in a mind blowing observation or two about humanity and you have the full Terry Pratchett experience. Each of Pratchett's works are centered around one of four basic sets of protagonists: Tenured University Magicians, Hedge Witches, City Guards and Death.

Thank you, Sky One, for crushing my dreams.

Pratchett's clearly a hard author to translate to the screen, but I don't think he's impossible. With the right director, one who can effectively reinterpret the books for the new medium it could be done. Terry Gilliam springs immediately to mind.

I also decided to drop books that are simply set in a singular universe but don't have a common story line such as L Frank Baum's (and others') Oz books or Terry Pratchett's Discworld.

Have you ever thought of reading or read any of the Harry Potter books?

Comment by seantheflere

I can go back to Roald Dahl stories that I read when I was young, and read Terry Pratchett's books marketed toward children.
