The
Dresden Files series also amuses me intensely. I one day hope to
have a black leather duster and be wry and witty. Oh hell’s bells.
I also am in love with Jim Butcher ’s other series, Codex Alera . I
picked up a series of books by Simon R.
I'm a fan of
the Dresden Files , both tv and book versions. ... into squealing fangirl mode*); Tremors: The Series; Death

This week, we're voting on whether to
recommend Jim Butcher's series The Dresden Files. Have you read
this series?

Ok, so it is a series.Part noir detective and part sword and
sorcery. If you want a synopsis, go to amazon or something.I
haven't read the series so much as inhaled it. There is something
about the series that resonates with me, and I tend to read the
books cover to cover in a single sitting.

In response to SciFi station screwing up Dresden Files by
Lunar_ice:Am I the only one that thinks changing Murphy's first
name and making her a taller ... I'm suspending judgement until I see the
series.

Cornwell's Sharpe series is
entertaining-- a fictionalized infantry-man's view of the war
against the tiny Corscican tyrant. Jim Butcher-- creator of the
books which loosely inspired the short lived scifi channel series
"The Dresden Files." Terry Goodkind -- creator of the Sword of
Truth series.

Im reading the Dresden Files as well. (waiting for Turn Coat to go
paperback) It's an interesting and entertaining series. Not exactly
high literature, but good popcorn fun. And honestly, as the series
progresses, he's becoming a much more refined and interesting
writer.

If you are fond of the Dresden files, I'd recommend Lois McMasters
Bujord's Vorkosigan series.

Also, you really
can't show off your library when it's all data files.I recently
read the dresden files as well, nice light pulp fantasy. You might
enjoy reading Glen Cooks Garret Files, or Kim Harrison's Rachel
Morgan series.

I'm reading Furies of Calderon, which is book one in Jim Butcher's
Codex Alera series. If you don't know this series, some of you
might know The Dresden Files.

This
is the first volume in the long-running "Dresden Files" series by
the same author, and I am looking forward to reading the others -
once they are all available for the Kindle.

Or for something lighter
and more "fun", you could try Jim Butcher's series 'The Dresden
Files', which starts with Storm Front.
