Salman Rushdie's Satanic Verses - My first Rushdie was Midnight's Children, I thought Satanic Verses would have as much Indian politics in Midnight's Children, but oh well, and Furies - didn't know the Greeks had 3 Goddesses for furies.

had been whipped up by Islamic fundamentalists.
