- Food:
VietnameseMy family is ethnically Chinese, but my parents were from
Vietnam. I love Vietnamese food . I think it has the perfect blend
of vegetables and seafood .The few types of food that I don't do
include: American breakfasts and desserts (AKA sweet stuff).
I enjoy listening to 80s synthesized
pop and rock, some metal, traditional and contemporary Vietnamese ,
classical and baroque, and mid-90s Eurodance. I love home-cooked
Vietnamese food. Authentic restaurant food is alright too.
We might as well go have that vietnamese
food,after.
tea, coconut meat (the milk in soups or curries
are fine), most fast food (but I'll eat their slow food
equivalents!)More food: My favorites - olive oil gelato; Mozza
nettle pizza; Tom Ka Gai soup; laksa, Vietnamese eggrolls,
springrolls and banh cuon; pork belly skewers; Baja fish tacos;
pupusas;

range of Vietnamese and foreign food. We stopped there to try some
Vietnamese food, and it was good enough and inexpensive enough that
we got dessert as well.

I am a snob about people
who can't move beyond chain restaurants to try the glory that is
Indian food, or Thai food, or Vietnamese food... but I also detest
people who think that anything but ethnic food in NYC is terrible,
and that you can't get a perfectly decent meal at TGI Fridays.

If you like Vietnamese
food, there's an awesome place in Jersey City called Nha Trang or
something similar. It's authentic Vietnamese at great prices and
excellent portions.
