Comedian David Cross has a great routine about how
he hates comedy clubs. I vow from now on just to rent the DVD and
boycott comedy clubs.

Comedy can be a very
brutal business. Besides comedy clubs, many bars, night clubs, and
coffee shops offer open mic nights where aspiring stand-up comics
can practice their craft.

Scotland, including bowling and
golf clubs, social clubs and pubs. They also cater for private
functions of all types. Tommy Taylor is well known for his mad as

like Meetlaaf. The show is intended to offer unique comedy with mad
humour.

Recall, in the 80s, when comedy clubs were considered mainstream
entertainment? We even had syndicated programs, recorded in the
big-name clubs in L.A., beaming deliriously unfunny acts such as
Elaine Boosler and Byron Allen into our homes. Comedy clubs are
like boxing today; people seemed to care

horrible strip clubs with hideously
overweight girls with bad boob jobs and stretch marks are still
fun! It's like a bad accident, you can't turn away. Plus, in my
opinion, most females have nice bodies, even the chunky ones. I
like curves. As far as male strip clubs go, if ... turns into a
comedy instead.

From MeghanBeres' forum post:Loud dance clubs, places with cover
charges, or places where it might be hard to identify a central
meeting place are all BAD ideas, as are places that hinder people’s
ability to chat (theatres, comedy clubs, bars with loud live music
).

After I
married and still after I had kids, I made sure that a few times a
month we did most of the same stuff we used to do: dance, shoot
pool, go to comedy clubs, go out for dinner.

”Mac started
his comedy career at age 8, with a standup performance at a church
dinner. In 1977, at age 20, he took that act to comedy clubs in
Chicago.

I believe some of the dance clubs
are 21+, but in most of the clubs all ages are welcome.EpicRawrx:
so that leaves us with... 2 comedy clubs. ...:(Well I'm certainly

Most of
the clubs are family friendly (this is Disney) and the humor is
roughly PG-13. I believe some of the dance clubs are 21+, but in
most of the clubs all ages are welcome. It's $21.95 for all of the
clubs.so that leaves us with... 2 comedy clubs.

Some
people build a career based on how funny they were or are in comedy
clubs, but it doesn't translate to prime time TV real well.
Or movies. In those venues, the underlying plot has to
lend itself to comedy, or the whole thing falls flat.
