i have also read a number of books and articles on evolutionary psychology, which is a hobby of mine. evolutionary psych is a branch of psychology that looks at our species' history to determine what behaviors, if any, at to what degree, evolved as survival and reproduction strategies.

Biology and traditional psychology probably agree a lot more than they disagree. I just ordered my first book of evolutionary psychology tonight, so all I have to go on so far is Steven Pinker's book, The Language Instinct.
