reading fantasy books.
It seems like I have always had a little niche here reading this
books (whether that is good or bad, I know not). But this brings me
to my point. I see so many people reading Harry Potter that would
never read fantasy books. Do they read the books because they are
good books

Victorian Scientists were all well-and-good, my
heart continued to yearn for fantasy. Unfortunately, most of the
fantasy I read I found indefinably unsatisfying; there was
something superficial, or synthetic, in the majority of fantasy
books, a quality I could not define or describe but acutely felt

But Discworld isn't conventional
fantasy, it's comic fantasy. Yes, it's another world and yes, they
have magic, but that isn't a major part of the story. Most of the
books are about real people with real problems.

Now, if you were afraid that the
questioned person would not enjoy both, and consequently skip the
question; you should have simply provide the question and answers
as follows: Do you enjoy fantasy books and movies? --or-- Do you
enjoy either fantasy books or movies? Books.

It is interesting to
note that the first of the books is labeled 'science fiction,' the
second is labeled 'fantasy.' they are fantasy novels, but the (for
lack of a better word) 'magic' in them is so intricately developed
and believable that it's even got it's own red tape.

Michael Moorcock: His Eternal Champion cycle is a

apart of Barnes and Nobles, but besides that, fantasy being only on
2 rows of shelves? The Borders up here starts with a mix of horror
fantasy then the general fantasy and then into sci fi, but still
more than just 2 rows. I also noticed a lot of fantasy books are
being written for young adults so

The first few books are
childish, but the last two in the series (five books total) are
more young adult than anything else. For good Fantasy books: most
books by David Gemmell, all books by Jim Butcher, all from Tolkien.

that you've
never read any books on sex, either. Because pretty much any manual
worth its salt has a section on Rape Fantasy, and points out that
FANTASY is quite different from reality.Rape fantasy has a large
appeal for some women because it provides them with a FANTASY

But the other reason I made it through

Yes, mostly sci-fi / fantasy. I don't tend
to branch away from that much in books. Although I could name a few
books I really liked that weren't in that category.

Now, bear in mind, in keeping with
sting_le’s point, this was a fantasy and not an ambition. But the
fantasy was strong. In fact, whenever I engaged in sex with
someone, I ran this fantasy thru my head. Eventually, I realized
the root of the fantasy was the lack of safety I felt growing up.
