run 4 gigs with XP, depending on video card size it would register
up to 3.75 gigs of it with a few startup switches. My total cost
for 8 gigs of ram was 88$, at that price why not run all 8?

I run 8 gigs with my 64 bit Vista on my desktop, and I don't have
any troubles with Vista at all. I also run 64 bit on my laptop with
only 2 gigs of ram, and a 2 gig usb drive hooked up to do that
"added memory" thing vista loves to talk about.
