really no such thing a "pre-med".
"Pre-med" is a very American idea and it basically means the person
is aspiring towards med school...it's not an actual major. You can
be in engineering and consider yourself "pre-med". In fact, many
school have no prerequisites for entering their medical program.

sure you know what med students are like? People change. I started
medschool at age 21. Before that I had a few turbulent years that I
seriously think helped me grow and mature. I wouldn't have been
ready for med school at 18.
