you know, assuming my reggae hits cds that soemone bought me as a

dislike reggae for the following reason. Years ago I used
to work regularly for the local council at their open air summer
festivals. Since I had experience in the area, I used to stage
manage the music part of it, and there was always a reggae band.

Rastafarianism isn't reggae. Reggae came about from a blend of
native Jamaican musical ... They didn't create reggae though. I will agree that
early reggae had rastafarians in it, and it influenced their own
albums. It didn't however make reggae a purely rastafarian art
form.

topics of poverty, racial division and oppression weren't new
topics. pretty much all of them can be found in the ska, jazz and
blues that led into reggae.

White and yellow people don't really get to say what the "greatest"
reggae music is. The movement and scene aren't about you.Reggae
isn't just about black people with dreds. Reggae is about
everybody, and everybody is entitled to their opinion of who was
the greatest.
