in me is intrigued by the algorithms behind this site.
Hilariously, when I searched for my "enemies," I find someone who
hates their algorithms and doesn't think they work at all. Next
time I tried that, I got someone who's really Christian and works
for the government. Yup, these algorithms work.

search/match algorithms need ... our Match Searches... e.g., Cupid thinks I'm a "Slow Dancer"
(DGLD) and actually suggests I look for Sonnets and steer clear of
Sudden Departures. Might it not be productive to search just for
Sonnets (DGLD) & Maids of Honor (DGLM)? More efficient search

Search engine
optimization has to respect the limitations of search algorithms

When I asked [vice-president of research and development for
EHarmony] Galen Buckwalter about this, he laughed, indicating that
he'd heard the question before. "The thing you have to remember
about our system is we're matching on these algorithms for
long-term compatibility", he said.

So when you're using the word 'algorithm', I'll take it
you mean exhaustive search algorithms that will always find the
optimal solution rather than heuristic search algorithms that will
tend to find better solutions, but without any guarantee that
they're the best.

Working with
genetic algorithms and ANNs, I can assureyou that these are HIGHLY
adaptive algorithms, which tailorthemselves based upon the problem
itself. The same could besaid with a GOFAI type search algorithm
(or fuzzy-logic rules system),if sufficiently complex.

"saved" some off-the-wall searches you did on a whim that
are contradictory. The algorithms do what you "tell them",
literally, not what you necessarily mean, and are "confused" if you
enter contradictory criteria in multiple saved searches.Quiver may
be useful if you save one clear search but that

unlike 99 percent of the time when the search engine
offers you a correction, in this scenario, it doesn't.This means
that so many people are misspelling this noun describing the female
sexual organ that Google's algorithms think it's a valid variant.
