As for
volume, although I don't believe there was any unwanted distortion
- they are a shoegaze/dreampop band after all, so they definitely
wanted some of that distortion - I did feel it was entirely too
loud overall, hence my referring to it as a volume problem.

I don't really see Sonic Youth as shoegaze at all, though I do love
them. But if you dig the shoegaze sound, check out the Thrushes,
Pains of Being Pure at Heart, and Asobi Seksu.
