Do you think all vegetables such as
spinach, parsley, carrots, salad, radish, tomato ... cousins are primates and you
don't see a Gorilla roasting a hunk of meat or sauteeing vegetables

Vegetables in cafeterias are usually really badly cooked. Most
vegetables don't take to being kept warm - they need to be cooked
from fresh (and not cooked too much!) and then served immediately.
I probably wouldn't eat the vegetables in your cafeteria, but when
at home I mainly cook with vegetables
