My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Once upon a time a boy was born in the town of Örebro, in a summer when it always rained - except for the week when the boy in question was born. His parents named him Erik after his mother's father and his coming to the world both pleased and suprized them as they thought his six year older sister would be their last child.

Erik wasn't quite like other children. He was full of energy but he also spent most of his time in his own head. He was never particularly popular with his peers since he was small, weak and clumsy both physically and socially. This drove him to enjoy his own company most of all, making swinging his favorite activity of all (the high pace was exiting and he could both sing AND daydream!).

As he grew older he discovered reading and computer games, two more fantastic ways to pass time alone. But that didn't mean he had no friends - he did! Although they stopped calling once he started high school, which kind of broke his heart - especially since he didn't make any new friends for a couple of years.

This was a pretty depressing time in his life, but in order to survive he had to grow mentally and thus he came out of the whole period a lot stronger. Or more mature, if you will. He learnt to forgive himself for his shortcomings and accept things in stride.

As time went one he discovered he had a much easier time interacting with people over the internet. Through the internet he met a lot of great people and he made new friends. Those friend helped him grow so much he dared to move to Stockholm, where he regularly meet said friends. He's still lonely though, and he wishes to experience love, which he's dreamt of since he was a kid. And since the internet has served him so well up to now he came here.

So here I am. Writing a way too long self-summary.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working on my work-life balance, widening my cooking repertoire, dipping my toes in the sea of dating, playing roleplaying games.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
* I genuinely care about other people.
* I try not to judge. I usually succeed.
* Forgiving. I also never get angry (when it matters anyway).
* According to my sister I am good looking. I see no reason not to take her word on it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People have said that they notice that I seem booksmart. Which probably means that I come off as aloof.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I've read a lot of fantasy novels in my days. Still read them occasionally. I also read books on subjects that interests me.

When it comes to movies I like movies to be either fantastic entertainment (like superhero movies) or something that challenges me intellectually (Training Day is probably the best example I can remember from the last year). I mostly watch the former when I get to choose myself.

Show-wise I'm working myself through The Wire and The Shield at the moment. I really like both - for some reason I can't watch them for too long though (after a week or two of watching I go on moth long hitaouses). It's weird, I'm trying to figure out what the problem is so I can fix it.

Musicwise I am just as hard to pin down as most people. Disintegration and Black Celebration are probably my two favorite albums of all time but in the last year my main discovery has been melodic death metal. Discussing music is way too big a topic for this format.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Depends on what you mean by "can't do without". After all, you can live without air for several seconds before you die. If I lost my hearing I'd feel awful at first, but then I'd probably learn sign language and get by on the music in my head.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Practical details of my life, online discussions I'm involved in, deeper reflections on where my life is heading, dreams of unexpectedly making it as a singer, what would happen if a loved one died in detail, dreams of... well, who knows what I'm dreaming of at any particular moment, really.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...glad I can do what I want for two days straight.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm willing to admit that I'm a virgin at 26 - so it goes to show I'm not very private.

I'm not the least bitter about the virgin thing, by the way and only a little anxious (I try not to be, but it's hard). There is more to life than sex and the value of a human being is not defined by how many people s/he's had sex with. There is no need for shame and I don't feel any panic. I may never have sex with someone else ever, but that's ok. I probably will though, but that will come when it comes.

And I don't consider this a big deal, it's just something I suspect most people would consider private.
