My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Trevor.
Trevor Fox.
Back in South Florida after 5 years up in Connecticut where I worked as a "Life Skills Instructor" to the developmentally disabled, equipping them with the necessary skills they would need to achieve independence and transition out of a supported living environment.
Now that I'm back where I grew up and working in the same field as a behavior assistant, I'm looking for an activity partner near me to simply enjoy the pleasures of life with, void of the staunch expectations of sex or commitment. Although, due to being somewhat of an idealist solely in regards to relationships, I can see myself falling in love with a profile picture and immediately wanting much more. I had been in a state of arrested development for years but finally feel invigorated again and want to share this passion with someone, taking things as they go without any specific direction. Also, I'm interested in intellectual conversation in general with whomever from wherever but, currently, I've mostly been entertaining discussions regarding religious belief and it's effect on society. If you happen to be interested and feel comfortable sharing, I'd love to hear your story.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Suspending disbelief.
Failing at these attempts to avoid creative captivity.
Struggling to remain optimistic.
Waiting for a revelation.
Or revolution - whichever comes first.
Or "Revelations" - the Biblical apocalypse.
Despite my lack of gullibility when regarding illogical "hocus pocus", I can't help but cross my fingers for novelty, regardless of the consequence.
I'm desperate for sugar and spice and everything nice.
Anything to interrupt this monotony.
If that fleeting spark of vicissitude or permutation just happens to include Archangel Saint Michael's battle axe, being thrusted in the direction of anything even subliminally cephalic, so be it.
The juice is worth the squeeze.
Or?
Maybe these are just the ramblings of a notoriously manipulative
prevaricator.
"Wolf!"

I'm, unfortunately, mostly working these days. I have a stressful career in which it's my sole responsibility to keep my client, a young adult with severe autism and violent, self-injurous behavior, safe. I've been neglecting my own interperonal progress for a while so I'm hoping to find someone who can inspire me again and remind me what life is truly worth living for. My goals are to become fluent in spanish, profiscient on the guitar, knowledgable in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and confidently technical in my singing ability. If you think you could offer guidance in any of these areas, be sure to message me so we can get to know eachother and, hopefully, exchange advice. I similarly have a lot to offer in other respects.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- Blowing up balloons
- Avoiding superfluous questions with humor
- Being moved by well-crafted music.
- Intellectually debating and admitting fault immediately when a rational point is made that sheds light on a failing of mine. You won't find any egotistical power struggles here.
- Empathetically helping the seemingly helpless.
- Using language to accurately, sometimes verbosely, express myself.
- Being a brutally honest open book, even within seconds of knowing someone or when it's to my detriment.
- Similarly being accepting and forgiving of anything and everything when others repay my honesty with secrets of their own.
- Being fairly intense in the beginning, depending on the participant.
- Playing the air drums on my steering wheel
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My height, I would assume.
Or the 6 foot lizard tail.
No worries, just a small accident in Chemistry class when I was younger.

BOOKS
I'm a fan of non-fiction mostly but, if I do venture into the world of "make-believe", I prefer gritty, grounded, transgressive fiction that focuses on characters who feel confined by the norms and expectations of society and who break free of those confines in unusual ways. I've been a fan of Chuck Palahniuk(Fight Club, Choke) for a long time and, although his work may be sophomoric at times, I really appreciate his minimalistic sentence structure and his protagonist's absurd, misanthropic asides that break up the occasional monotony.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
6 pointless dating site questions, of course.
Well, I guess I can't live without water...
Fine, 5 pointless dating site questions and water.
Wait...I need nutritional sustenance to survive as well so...
This is a trick question, isn't it?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to better myself and humanity as a whole.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Unfortunately, I work until 11pm every weekday but on Saturday nights I'm either out with friends, meeting new people, or going downtown to watch my favorite local bands play.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When I was younger and my 2 front teeth fell out, my permanent teeth wouldn't come down - even after months of waiting. Eventually, I found out that I had a 2nd set of baby teeth stopping the permanent teeth from coming down. After surgery, all is well but, the moral of the story...?
I'm superhuman.
