Movies- I like them old, black and white, foreign, documentaries, you name it. Hitchcock doesn't get enough credit for being funny. Douglas Sirk, John Houston, Busby Berkeley, Bergman, Ozu, okay I'm a film nerd. I'd live in a movie theater if they let me. Hiroshima Mon Amour is the most perfect movie ever made.

Fiction- Dune by Frank Herbert is one of my favorites. Of course I've read and enjoyed Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I like Paul Auster a lot. Really looking forward to the new Cormac McCarthy book.

Music- Everything from Townes Van Zandt to Gilberto Gil, Pablo Casals, ancient Swedish pastoral music. Oh! Duke Ellington!! I like contemporary music too. The Shout out Louds are some poppy goodness. Why are there so many good Swedish pop bands all of the sudden?

I like it when people bring me food.

I unconsciously disassociate when I meet people who are religious. You can blame the Christian summer camp I attended when I was 11.

It should be noted that I'd rather listen to someone go on about Jesus and the miracles of the bible than hear anything about homeopathy, reflexology, naturopathy, reiki healing or other such nonsense.

Write me if it's raining or snowy. Write me if you're smart and sweet- if you're considerate on the subway -if you ride a bicycle- if you have found a way to survive in this city without being an super ambitious, type A, workaholic - if you look hot in pant suits but jeans and t-shirts are more your thing- if you feel passionate about culture and the whole spectrum of human expression-
